APRC Group Strengthens its Executive Committee with the Arrival of Olivier Barge
Bouygues Construction, Goodman, Prologis—Olivier Barge’s career has been synonymous with large corporations, real estate, and a diversity of roles. As a facilitator of the Innovation Commission at Afilog (French Association of Logistics Real Estate) and a leader of the working group on the Charter of Reciprocal Commitments with the State, Olivier Barge is recognized as a leading expert in the logistics real estate sector.
By joining APRC Group, the Lyon-based holding company, as Operational Director, and assuming the role of General Manager of its contracting subsidiary, APRC, Olivier Barge aims to support the company’s growth—particularly its international development—under the leadership of Karim Abdellaoui.
A Career Rooted in Construction and Real Estate
Coming from a long line of entrepreneurs in the construction industry, Olivier Barge began his career in 1991 at Bouygues Construction, working in both France and Great Britain. Over 17 years, he transitioned across construction, trading, and real estate development, handling all types of assets, with a specialization in logistics starting in 2001.
His focus on logistics real estate was solidified during his three years as Technical Director France at the Australian operator Goodman. Subsequently, at Prologis since 2012, Olivier became a key figure in the sector, recognized as one of its foremost specialists. As Southern Europe Development Manager for the American group, Olivier led major projects while serving as CSR/Energy referent and innovation facilitator.
A Long-Standing Partnership with APRC
During his tenure at Prologis, Olivier Barge became one of the first managers of a large group to entrust a major project to APRC—a 30,000 m² development that significantly enhanced APRC’s credibility as a young and ambitious company.
The relationship of trust established with Karim Abdellaoui—based on shared values of integrity and agile decision-making—has now naturally led to Olivier’s appointment as Operational Director of APRC Group and Managing Director of APRC, its general contracting subsidiary.
A Vision for Growth and Excellence
“APRC Group has grown rapidly, from a team of around ten employees to more than 80 today. My mission is to support this growth by bringing my experience in organization and international development, particularly in markets I know well, such as Italy and Spain,” Olivier explains.
“The first challenge is to establish on-site teams to address the increasing demand the Group has been responding to for several months.
The second objective is to realize Karim Abdellaoui’s ambition of making quality execution a defining and lasting trademark of APRC Group.
Finally, the most motivating challenge for me is to support this born entrepreneur in all his initiatives—whether it’s the deployment of the joint venture with 6e Sens Immobilier, 6e Sens UNIK, or the creation of a new structure dedicated to renewable energy production.”
