APRC: Triple contribution to Segro Logistics park in Saint-Quentin-Fallavier

Between the end of 2021 and the end of 2023, APRC, a general contracting subsidiary of APRC GROUP, delivered 3 buildings to SEGRO. A major contribution to the SEGRO Logistics Park Saint-Quentin-Fallavier (38), an urban distribution and logistics program of more than 80,000 m², located on a 20-hectare site in the heart of France’s leading logistics zone, 35 km from Lyon and 15 km from Lyon Saint-Exupéry airport.

In total, more than 80,000 m² are spread across three buildings of 27,000 m², 45,000 m² and 10,000 m², operated respectively by LDLC, the French leader in high-tech and IT equipment, the BBL Group, a specialist in transport organisation and logistics services, and BANSARD INTERNATIONAL, an expert in freight forwarding and overseas logistics, which were built by APRC.

Certified BREEAM Excellent and labelled BiodiverCity© Life, these buildings strictly comply with SEGRO’s commitments to reconcile economic development, sustainable development and the restoration/preservation of biodiversity.

A societal ambition which on this site notably involves:

the on-site reuse of 95% of the materials from the deconstruction of the former industrial wasteland, i.e. 70,000 tonnes of concrete and asphalt;

the installation of a rooftop photovoltaic power plant enabling the electricity production of 4520 MWh, i.e. the annual consumption of 900 homes;

a large-scale landscaping treatment expressed in the establishment of a green unit of nearly 2 hectares;

the design of an educational trail to raise awareness of biodiversity.

“Launched at the very beginning of 2020, this project had to face the double impact linked to the Covid period and then that of the war in Ukraine. Meeting the cost and deadline commitments was, under these conditions, an extraordinary challenge that APRC was able to meet in a remarkable manner” says Quentin Liu, Technical & Development Director of SEGRO. “APRC’s ability to maintain sustainable and balanced relationships with its service providers, the quality of communication and information sharing from both a financial and operational point of view that APRC’s teams are able to deploy, were decisive assets in maintaining the coherence of a project to which SEGRO had committed to its clients. The ability of its teams to mobilize to understand and support the requirements of SEGRO and its customers allowed this triple relationship to remain on a win/win trend for all.”
