APRC Group is proud to announce the start of construction by APRC, its general contracting subsidiary, of a 26,000 m² urban logistics platform on a former textile industrial wasteland located in the heart of the European Metropolis of Lille, in the La Lainière business district. This ambitious project, developed by KSI, the Group’s real estate development subsidiary, is part of the urban requalification and revitalization program for this mixed-use urban area.
On June 19, 2024, work began on the future urban logistics platform located on a former textile industrial wasteland in the heart of the European Metropolis of Lille (MEL). APRC, APRC Group’s general contracting subsidiary, was entrusted with the construction of this project, developed by KSI, the Group’s real estate development subsidiary, which is also responsible for marketing this asset.
The project is an integral part of a MEL program developed by Ville Renouvelée in the communes of Roubaix and Wattrelos (59), at the heart of the La Lainière business district, a 33-hectare mixed-use urban zone composed of 70% business activities and 30% housing. It is part of the revitalization and development of this district, combining productive activities, a mix of uses and complementary urban functions with harmonious density and compactness.
Set on a plot of over 50,000 m², with more than 10,000 m² of green space, the building will have a total surface area of 26,000 m² and will include :
- 24,200 m² of warehouse space
- 4 cells with positive cooling capability
- 1,600 m² office space
- 200 m² of technical premises.
This asset is divisible from 6,000 m², making it compatible with any urban or industrial logistics activity, including zero-emission deliveries. The site is classified ICPE to meet all the needs of its potential users.
Delivery is scheduled for summer 2025.
KSI’s project, which meets all the architectural and environmental requirements of the dynamic La Lainière area, promotes urban progress and integrates a responsible and sustainable vision of the city, was selected by SEM Ville Renouvelée on the basis of 10 scoring criteria, including :
- energy management,
- waste recovery,
- water management,
- building materials
- the landscape and ecology around the building.
