Cycling is a non-traumatic sport that can be adapted to different types of disability (intellectual disability, mental health problems, autism, multiple disabilities and associated disabilities).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">APRC M\u00e9c\u00e9nat financed the project as well as the acquisition of a tricycle for the residents of the Barenton nursing home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u201cCreating magical moments to escape disability and transcend everyday life\u201d.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Isabelle Bihel &#8211; Manager of Anais<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cReaching out to others, embracing differences with humility and attentiveness, and giving everyone the chance to experience magical moments: this is the essence of APRC M\u00e9c\u00e9nat&#8217;s partnership. For the 25 residents of the Barenton care home, many of whom face disabilities stemming from childhood trauma, having their adult lives truly cared for is an unfamiliar yet transformative experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thanks to APRC M\u00e9c\u00e9nat, eight individuals were able to participate in the \u201cA ton sport \u00e0 ta sant\u00e9\u201d project, creating cherished memories during a three-day sporting challenge in Vincennes. The experience continued with a visit to Paris, where they explored the Stade de France and the Eiffel Tower. Additionally, the partnership financed a tricycle bike, enabling daily sports activities at the care home.
